About My Possible Self
My Possible Self was founded by Joanne Wilkinson – mother of four – in 2009. Joanne experienced her own emotional difficulties in adult life, and it was these experiences that empowered her to launch the organisation initially as a range of emotional health and wellbeing services to help people discover their ‘best possible self’.
While this early iteration of My Possible Self succeeded in assisting countless individuals, Joanne realised the model was limited in the volume of people it could help. She wanted to create something that anyone could access anytime, anywhere.
My Possible Self has consequently been transformed into a revolutionary digital self-help programme. Our content is licensed from the world-renowned Black Dog Institute, Sydney, Australia, and is clinically proven to reduce mild-to-moderate symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. The content is provided through of a range of self-help modules. These modules use established forms of therapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), problem solving therapy, positive psychology and interpersonal therapy.
My Possible Self has one mission: To strengthen the independence, personal expectations and self-motivation of an individual – restoring a person’s trust in themselves and others, in order to realise their full potential.
